These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this portfolio website and any design services provided by Abebe Kumelachew(Babi) (“Designer”, “I”, “me”). By contacting me through this website or engaging my services, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Services Overview

1.1 Design Services

I provide professional product design services, including but not limited to:

 • Product design and UI/UX design

 • Product strategy and early-stage brainstorming

 • User flows, wireframes, and prototypes

 • Visual and interaction design

 • Design systems and UI libraries

 • UI cleanup and implementation review (design QA)

Services may be provided under different working models, depending on client needs.


2. Engagement Models

2.1 Ongoing / Retainer / Full-Time Support

Clients may engage me for:

 • Full-time or part-time remote collaboration

 • Monthly or flexible ongoing support

 • Startup, scale-up, or in-house design needs

Scope, availability, turnaround time, and expectations are agreed upon in writing before work begins.


2.2 Single Project Engagements

For one-time projects:

 •Project scope, deliverables, and timeline are agreed upon before work begins.

  • Projects may include full product thinking, not only visual execution.

  • Revisions are provided within the agreed scope.

  • A 30% upfront deposit is required to start the project.

  • A mid-project payment is required before final handover of all deliverables.

  • Pricing is not fixed and is agreed on a per-project basis.

There are no fixed public prices. All engagements are discussed and agreed upon individually.


3. Scope of Work

3.1 Included (Depending on Agreement)

 • UX research and problem definition

 • Product and feature ideation

 • Wireframes and prototypes

 • High-fidelity UI design

 • Design systems (when required)

 • Handoff files and documentation

 • UI review after development (non-coding)

3.2 Not Included Unless Agreed

 • Front-end or back-end development

 • Copywriting or content creation

 • Marketing strategy or paid ads

 • Photography, video, or 3D work

Any additional services require a separate agreement.


4. Communication & Collaboration

 • Communication is typically handled via email, chat tools, or scheduled calls

 • Timely feedback is required to keep work moving smoothly

 • One primary point of contact is recommended

 • Delays caused by missing feedback or assets may affect timelines


5. Payments & Fees

 • Pricing is discussed privately and agreed upon before work starts

 • Payment structure may vary (monthly, milestone-based, or project-based)

 • Invoices must be settled according to agreed terms

 • Work may be paused if payments are delayed

Specific payment details are defined per engagement, not publicly listed.


6. Revisions & Changes

 • Revisions are included within the agreed scope

 • Major changes or new directions may require timeline or scope adjustments

 • Requests outside the original agreement may be treated as new work


7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership

 • Full ownership of final approved deliverables is transferred upon full payment

 • Drafts, concepts, or unused ideas remain the Designer’s property

7.2 Portfolio Use

 • I reserve the right to showcase completed work in my portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing

 • Confidential or NDA-bound work will be respected


8. Confidentiality

 • All shared client information is treated as confidential

 • Project details will not be shared publicly without permission

 • Confidentiality obligations survive after project completion


9. Termination

 • Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice

 • Work completed up to termination must be paid for

 • Ongoing engagements will follow agreed notice periods

Details depend on the engagement model and are clarified in writing.


10. Limitation of Liability

 • Services are provided “as is”• I am not responsible for business outcomes, revenue, or user growth

 • Liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered

 • I am not responsible for third-party tools, platforms, or services


11. Website Use (Framer Portfolio)

This website is built using Framer and includes a contact form only.

 • Submitting the contact form does not guarantee acceptance of a project

 • Information submitted is used solely for communication purposes

 • No user accounts, payments, or tracking beyond basic analytics are used


12. Updates to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of the website or services implies acceptance of the latest version.
